- Continue working on your Umwelt scenes in Unreal Engine towards the final project.
DELIVERABLES (due 11/15):
- 1 (or more) sample renders at final quality. This should show the final visual style for your animation.
- Plan for your animation - this could be a storyboard, rough cut/camera cut, or a shot list with reference images.
- Draft of your voiceover text (the length should coordinate with the timing of your animation). We will workshop this as a class, but you should be developing the “starting point.”
*** note: we will be reviewing this work during class next week. Please be prepared to present (briefly) for a group feedback session***

Continue generating images using ComfyUI and other image generation tools. These could be images continuing to explore concepts/visual styles, texture maps, backgrounds, etc.
- Explore the advanced modeling tools we learned in Blender (Geometry nodes, scripting, texturing, etc) and create 1-5 objects inspired by your concept images and research about your chosen Umwelt.
DELIVERABLES (due 09/27):
- 5-10 generated images relevent to your Umwelt.
- 1-3 rendered images of your Blender models.

- Continue research on your Umwelt(s) based on the class discussion
- By next week bring in specific references and AI generated images that you’ll use for inspiration in your digital modeling. The tools reviewed in class are linked on the Resources page under AI -> image generation. Your generative concept images should exhibit evidence of experimentation with the tools (ie - process images multiple times/across different tools/with workflows you already know, etc).
- Familiarize yourself with operating in Blender. Review the tutorial from class. Bring in one Blender screenshot showing evidence of your practice with the basic tools.
- Finish the reading from last week if you have not done so already.
DELIVERABLES (due 09/20):
- At least 3 Generative multi-step images (preferably more)
- One Blender screenshot

- Read the Introduction to Immense World by Ed Yong (pdf provided via email)
- Browse through the diagrams and drawings in "A Stroll Through the Worlds of Animals and Men" by Jakob von Uexkull (pdf provided via email)
- Start brainstorming about what Umwelt(s) you'd like to look into and begin your research on these perspectives.
- We'll continue working on this research in the coming week - no need to have a comprehensive understanding just yet.
- It's also fine if you have a few Umwelts you're interested in - we can narrow it down as needed. Follow your interests, and find some perspectives that you want to learn more about.
- Be ready to share a little bit about your chosen Umwelt(s) next Friday
